I'm also on this search. Looking for the classic flip flop style with thin soles. I loved my CROCS, but I'm really getting into this thin sole feel. Of Course, it can only be so flexible and thin since this a flip flop and not a shoe that wraps around your foot. If it't too flexible the sole can fold under our foot while walking which would suck.

I'm barefoot almost always outside of work.  I only wear shoes at work 5 days a week/6-7 hours per day.

If you're a women, LL Bean is selling some very thin sandals for $12.99 with free shipping through tonight? The normal sale price is $19.99.

I have the sandals in navy, gold, and silver. They're flexible thin and have no real raised heel. They're 8mm thick and lightly if at all cushioned. The piper sandals also come in metallic silver and a metallic gold color. Just search for piper sandals on the web site and you should find it.

Oh yeah, they run big. I wear 7.5 in shoes (KSO 38, classics 39) and the size 7m fits well. It's not a very wide sandal, but it not super narrow either. They're cute summer sandals.

Edit: I got my flip flops today and ran smaller than the t-strap sandals. They weren't very comfortable between the toes and the footbed wasn't leather like the sandals. So the flip flops aren't as good or nice as the t-strap sandal and were sent back.

Simple Gumbo is one of the best flat and thin flip flops I've seen. Sierra Trading Post has them on sale right now. They're very thin and have no discernible arch or any other contour on the sole. I tried them on a while ago, but couldn't justify the price, looks like if they have your size Sierra has them for a great deal right now. Other than that, I've seen some recycled ones at Whole Foods that look good, but they're a little mushy for my taste.
