It looks pretty awkard. Especially the very thin middle column. Feels a bit cluttered now.

I just got aware that all the subpages now differ in style, some are 2 column some are 1 column only one is 3 column like the mainpage, more consistent look would be good for the eye imho.
Blog - 3 columns
VFF now - 1 column
Community - 1 column with old buttons, but not fully visible anymore
About - 2 columns
Store - 2 columns no buttons???
Submit photos - 3 columns

I would rather see more content on the homepage.  A wider content window, and maybe links to categories at the waaay bottom?  I think a header with the main site pages makes sense.

I agree that simplicity and consistency is key. Always have a main list of contents like the top of this page that stay the same on all pages.

I don't mind the change. It took a second to find the links on the right side, but thats only a problem once. The top half of the page looks a bit cleaner now.
