I'm another M40. Definitely a popular size, as it's often one of the first sold out on various websites. I wonder when the other trek sport colors will hit.

I have my fingers and toes crossed that these will be problem free as far as build quality.

I'm another M40. Definitely a popular size It doesn't quite make sense truthfully. The most common shoe size in the US is a 9 or 9.5 for a man which 10.31" or 10.5" which when you account for half sizing up in shoes is 9.81" or 10" which translates to M39 and M40 in classics yet for those sizes KSO only exists in black(M38 and M39), for the M39 classic you're limited to very little. For all these new shoes like Trek and Bikila you're SOL. I really don't understand Vibram's choices in this matter.

Just ordered my Trek Sports from TravelCountry. Lets just hope they fit the same as the Bikila so I don't have to go through the painful process of sending back/getting a refund, etc...
Can't wait for them to get here.

I'm a size 8 (US) in regular shoes, 40 KSO, 41 classic.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. I'm either a men's 8 or 8.5 (US), depending on the shoe (the last time I bought a pair of dress shoes -- calfskin uppers, leather soles -- it was an 8.5 B). In VFFs I'm an M40 for KSOs & Bikilas (and presumably an M41 for Classics or Sprints, neither of which I have yet). M39 would definitely be too small for me.

wait, really? A 9 translates to a 39 KSO? I'm a size 8 (US) in regular shoes, 40 KSO, 41 classic. http://shoes.about.com/od/fitcomfort/a/men_inches.htmA size 8 translates to 10", but for most conventional shoes you're told to size up by half a size so realistically size 8 would be 9.81" (size 7.5) of true foot and not the buffer. I actually mis-spoke earlier and removed .5" as the half size buffer. Size 9 including the half size buffer would be 10.19" of real foot. Let me just post a table to make it more clear: | U.S. Men's Shoe Size | Inches: half-size buffer | Classic VFF size | | 6.5 | 9.31 | W39 | | 7 | 9.5 | M38 | | 7.5 | 9.69 | M39 | | 8 | 9.81 | M39-40 | | 8.5 | 10 | M40 | | 9 | 10.19 | M41 | | 9.5 | 10.31 | M41-42 | | 10 | 10.5 | M42 | | 10.5 | 10.69 | M43 | | 11 | 10.81 | M43-44 | | 11.5 | 11 | M44 | | 12 | 11.19 | M45 | | 12.5 | 11.31 | M45-46 | | 13 | 11.5 | M46 | | 13.5 | 11.69 | M47 | | 14 | 11.81 | M47-48 | | 14.5 | 12 | M48 | | 15 | 12.19 | M48 Squeeze? |
Basically anything below a size 9 would have trouble finding anything but classic/sprint/moc in anything but one color and some things impossible to get. Just saying it doesn't make complete sense to cut off RIGHT below the most popular shoe size. I guess they expect us smaller footed men to go to women's sizes. I just wish they would have made all models and colors available for every size. /rant

Mine are out for delivery as we speak. I don't think I'll be of much help though because I do not have the Bikilas or Treks, only the KSOs. I will post again tonight as I will be playing golf in a little while.

My Trek Sports are in the Mail right now, as well. Unfortunately, they probably won't be here until next week sometime, and surely someone will have posted pics/info by then, but I'll definitely put in my two cents once they're here.

I received my Trek Sports in the mail today but I am kinda bummed because they are too small and I will have to return or exchange them. I ordered a M43 but they are definitely too small - my toes are practically curling up in the pockets.
I am pretty sure I wear a M43 in my KSOs but I am not certain because the part of the sole where the size is labeled has been worn out from use and thus is unreadable. So I was pretty much banking on memory that I am an M43 (I didn't measure my foot because I trust my memory) but maybe it is possible that I am wearing an M44 KSO. Regardless, I will be returning the Trek Sports I got today - at least CitySports makes the process easy!

Just saying it doesn't make complete sense to cut off RIGHT below the most popular shoe size. thanks for the chart, but that quoted statement is the bit I disagree with. I'm below a size nine (a true size 8, not even 8.5) and am a perfect fit on a 40 in closed-top VFFs and a 41 in open-top. But yes, you're right, it's too bad there aren't more choices below those sizes. I guess I'm just in under the wire.

That is the measurement for each shoe size. As we all know each brand is completely different in their sizes. What does your foot measure at? Because if you're fitting 41 classics you're 10.25" which translates to size 9 or given the half size adjustment 9.5. Off by about .44" or almost half an inch. So it seems your shoe brand is not accurate to sizing.

I agree with qcassidy352 here. I guess I'm just under the wire too. I'm either an 8 or 8.5 in US shoe sizes. Never worn a size 9 (US) in my life. and yet I've managed to get KSO's and Bikila's in different colors (size M40) and am thinking of getting the KSO's in blue/camo now that a couple of online retailers have restocked them in a full range of sizes. (My larger foot is 10.125 inches.)

So what is the material on the inside? Is it like the outside...or is it lined with a different "softer" material like the bikila?
